Made it through the end of the world, how about you all?

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile.  I have been locked in the basement saving my family from the end of the world, and the domination of zombies.  Just kidding all.  Just been busy with contaminated children and myself.  As for writing, lately I have been writing in my head more then on pages.  Have a lot of ideas for some short stories for the horror magazine, I entered my first one into.  My zombie book is on hold until Summer starts.  Which is in two weeks, thank goodness.  So was pondering what everyone else was thinking of all the end of the world stuff out there.  This is what I think:  If the end of the world was near I am convinced that nobody would know, not even psychics.  If God wanted to end it, he just would.  If it was a geological end, it would most likely be gradual and not all at once.  I think it isn't about ending, but change.  I think if anything needs to end it is all the Shallowness in our society.  Let's go back to the days when what was important was family.  When our kids used their imagination's.  When we all laughed and stopped worrying about what others think about us. Everything is done for us these days.  Why is it so important to follow others rather than be who you want to be.  Stop letting society lead you.  Do what makes you happy, not others.  I know it sounds like I am preaching.  Believe me I am not.  I say we stop judging others and celebrate the differences.  I love being different.  I have a great imagination, I like horror books and movies.  I like to put wild colors in my hair sometimes.  I want to be me.  I don't look up to others as heroes, I strive to be my own hero.  So am I perfect?  No, far from it!  So all I can say is take today and every other and have fun.  Do what is important.  I don't think any day will be the end, but live it as though it were.  Live it like if it were the end it wouldn't matter, you knew you were a good person.  I know I am a good person, I am a great mom.  So go out there and let your Freak Flags Fly high in the sky, if it pleases you.  And if you bump into some zombies on the way, let them no that it's only the end for them!
